For the second film in Vivo’s Wedding Films series, Set Craft developed a wedding environment inspired by a Two States love story, bringing together Malayalam and Punjabi wedding traditions within a single cinematic narrative.
The objective was to create a setting that felt authentic to both cultures while supporting the visual language of an advertising film. Through layered décor, floral styling, draped architectural interventions, and carefully designed gathering spaces, the environment became an integral part of the story rather than a background element.
Designing a Wedding Between Two Cultures
The visual approach focused on balancing the richness of Punjabi celebrations with the elegance and warmth often associated with Malayalam wedding traditions.
Rather than separating the cultures, the design language allowed them to coexist naturally through colour palettes, floral installations, fabric treatments, ceremonial spaces, and family gathering areas.
This approach helped the wedding environment feel believable, emotionally grounded, and visually cinematic.
Spaces Built for Storytelling
Every environment was designed around the needs of the camera.
The layouts supported intimate conversations, family moments, celebrations, music sequences, and content creation scenes while maintaining visual consistency throughout the film.
Architectural elements, floral installations, and decorative treatments were designed to provide depth and layering across multiple camera angles.
